WestWord Article: King of Wings Opens on Tuesdays to Showcase Other Local Food Businesses

The first Tuesday event, on December 7, featured Mikey's Meats, a barbecue pop-up run by Michael Schinn, who met Renshaw in the early days of the King of Wings food truck. 

The King of Wings pop-up was his first on that scale, and a line of over fifty people quickly grew, waiting to get a taste of his menu that included massive beef ribs, pork ribs, brisket, and pork belly burnt ends. Schinn is hoping to continue to grow his side hustle into a full-time gig as he pursues opening his own brick-and-mortar, Renshaw says.

I'm sorry. I don't usually post food that you can't eat as that's just mean but here you go. I went to@mikeysmeats5280pop-up Tuesday night@kingofwingstaphouseI don't understand how Mikey makes some of the best Texas BBQ I've ever had? The fatty brisket, dinosaur beef ribs, and bacon burnt ends were all phenomenal 🤤🤤🤤He's from Long Island, like me, and has only been smoking meat for a few years.
He smokes it all in his backyard and that's where he usually throws pop up events but yesterday he fed a packed house. Follow him so you can see where he's popping up next.
Rumour has it that he's going to open a secret back alley brick and mortar in 2022 . 🙏🙏🙏

He smokes it all in his backyard and that's where he usually throws pop up events but yesterday he fed a packed house@desteegbrewingwhich is in a back alley off Tennyson Street. The fantastic Mexican Lager at this brewery went so well with his BBQ.
